About Me

Before coaching professionally I enjoyed a 20 year career in the television industry where I produced and directed documentaries and current affairs programmes for the major UK broadcasters.  It was a job that provided unique insights to issues of leadership and conflict around the world, whilst giving firsthand experience of problem solving, negotiating and leading teams in challenging environments. Moreover it instilled in me a true understanding of the pressures felt by individuals and teams working in a results-driven and rapidly changing context.

My motivation as a documentary maker is the same that inspires me every day as a coach: an instinctive curiosity and fascination about the way people experience and respond to the world around them.  Listening to a client from a completely neutral standpoint enables me to tune in to the quality of their thinking, whilst my experience of interviewing for television broadcast has honed a style of questioning that gets to issues often hidden beneath the surface.

In addition to a Level 7 qualification in Executive Coaching from the Institute of Leadership and Management, I have accredited Diplomas in Corporate & Executive Coaching and Personal Performance Coaching from The Coaching Academy (both with Distinction) and a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming from NLP Excellence.  I am certified to use the ‘me2 General Factor of Creativity’ and DISC psychometric assessments, which I offer in the development of my clients’ creative and interpersonal skills.

All of my coaching engagements include a pre-coaching assessment, regular reviews of the client’s progress and coaching effectiveness, plus forward planning to sustain the client’s development following coaching.

I am extremely approachable so simply get in touch to arrange to talk to me, without obligation, about your circumstances and coaching needs.
